What To Expect Next - Fall 2023

The Fall 2023 Season is almost here! We are excited to have you join us and appreciate your support for Seahawks Flag Football.

Registration Is Open through July 30th, 2023

Over the course of this season, we will be sending you emails and texts containing important information. Due to this being a mass email system, please add us to your safe-senders list and frequently check your filters to confirm messages aren't directed to your junk mail, spam, or clutter. 

Communication is key to ensure the success of the league experience for everyone. Included are answers to some common questions you may have. If you have any questions throughout the season, you can email us at [email protected], or call 253-523-2999. 

Spring registration runs through July 30th, 2023, After the registration deadline, late registration is available, but based upon availability and is not guaranteed. Once registration is full, we will build a wait list and fill openings from the waitlist on a first come - first served basis. A $10.00 increase in registration will apply and you will be placed on any team that has openings in your grade division.

Buddy requests are less likely to be met during late registration, so please don't wait until the last minute if your child is wanting to play with some of their friends!



IMPORTANT DATES:


July 30th: Early registration closes, last day for guaranteed placement on a team. Late registration is based upon availability.
  
July 31st - August 18th: We will be forming teams, confirming coaches, creating schedules and more during this time.  

Week of August 28th: All Team Rosters will be finalized. Player's jersey, flags, and optional equipment purchased at registration will be arriving at Ship-To address provided at registration. 

September 1st: All Schedules will be finalized and posted to website.

September 5th, 7:00pm:  Mandatory Virtual Coaches Meeting online, for all coaches and managers, all locations. Volunteers will receive a team shirt and a game ball prior to the season start.

September  8th- September 11th: Dicks Sporting Goods Appreciation Weekend. Families will receive a 20% coupon through email or you can also go here to receive the coupon.

September 10th: Meet & Greet day and first practice! Time and location posted by September 1st under SCHEDULES / STANDINGS on landing page. Teams will meet the coach and participate in the first practice. Bring your mouth guard, jersey and flags!

September 17th: 1st Day of games. Practice is held 1 hour PRIOR to game time listed each week. Check your schedule under SCHEDULES / STANDINGS. Picture Days begin. Check your league location picture schedule under Schedules/Standings - Picture Schedule. 

October 22nd: Last game day of the season. Final Lombardi and Shula Games - follow posted schedule, Madden Playoff & Championship game berths and times are based upon season standings and will be posted by Wednesday after game week 5 - October 18th for fall if no makeup dates are used. 

October 29th: League make-up date. Usage of this date is determined in advance by Seahawks Flag Football Management.

EQUIPMENT:

*Jerseys, Flag Belts, and a mouth guard must be worn each week. Your jersey and flags, plus any additional merchandise you ordered during your registration, will be shipped directly to your home. Your player must have a mouth guard to participate. Bring your own, or conveniently purchase at the Game Day Tent for $5.

*Shorts or sweatpants without pockets should be worn for practice & games. If a participant wears shorts/pants with pockets, the pockets must be taped down to prohibit players' hands or fingers getting caught when pulling flags. 

*Participants can wear any type of plastic molded cleats, athletic shoes or sneakers.

COMMON QUESTIONS:

WHEN WILL I HEAR FROM MY COACH? You should hear from your coach no later than the day of our virtual coaches meeting onTBD.

WHAT ARE THE RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOLS? Please  visit here to read about our safety initiatives to protect your family this season.  

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY EQUIPMENT? Once we complete putting teams together, we will ship the rosters to our inventory department who will begin to pack and ship out individual equipment to each player. You should expect your NFL FLAG jersey, flag belts, and any other equipment you may have purchased no later than your scheduled Meet & Greet. You must bring a mouth guard to every practice and game. They will be available at the field for $5 each week.
